The Massillon YMCA Gators will focus on individual development. Swimmers' development is not measured by the overall finishing pace, but by improvement of times, attitude, behavior, goal achievement, sportsmanship and creating life-long leaders within the community. In joining the YMCA Gators you are embarking on a journey of self-improvement, enjoyment, success and development through powerful skills and abilities needed for accomplishing any goal in life.

SWIM TEAM MISSION

To serve the youth of Stark County and surrounding areas by offering a wide range of swimming instruction for children in a positive atmosphere. Our goals are to cultivate confidence and self-motivation by instilling good sportsmanship, self-discipline, and respect for others. We will accomplish this by providing opportunities for every member to reach his/her potential at each stage of their development. This gives youth of all ages the opportunity to improve swimming skills while building friendships and healthy habits that last a lifetime.

SWIMMER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to swim 25 meters front crawl with rotary breathing
• Parents and youth must sign and adhere to the Code of Conduct
• Ages 6 years through high school
• Swimmers are encouraged to attend at least two practices a week

REGULAR SEASON (Fall-Winter)

• September to March
• Must be a current member of the YMCA of Western Stark County
• Price based on membership type (youth/family)
• Optional USA Swimming Membership (Year Round)

PAYMENT:

• Payment in full at time of registration
• Two payments (Deposit of $185 + automatic payment on 10/15 of remaining balance)

HIGH SCHOOL SHORTENED SEASON

• September to the first day of HS Swim

PAYMENT:

• Payment in full at time of registration

SUMMER

• Registration opens March
• Swimmers will compete in MOSL League
• April to July
• Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
• Youth Member, Family Membership, and Non-Members pricing
