Registration is Open for Before & After School 2016-2017

Child care at the Y nurtures young people by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, build self-reliance, and develop healthy, trusting relationships. As a pioneer in the field, and one of the largest providers of child care in the country, 715,000 kids learn, grow and thrive in child care programs. These programs are run at 10,000 sites across the nation – 80 percent of which are in schools.

For the 2016-2017 school year, the YMCA will have 8 sites providing before school and/or after school care. Six of the sites are inside the school and two located at our YMCA branches.

  • Massillon City Schools
  • Franklin Elementary at the Massillon YMCA
  • Gorrell Elementary
  • Whittier Elementary
  • Massillon Intermediate
  • Fairless Local Schools
  • Fairless Elementary at the Towpath Trail YMCA
  • Perry Local Schools
  • Genoa Elementary
  • Lohr Elementary
  • Watson Elementary

Children who receive assistance through ODJFS (Ohio Department of Job and Family Services) are eligible for child care at the Y and at our school sites.

Registration is available at the YMCA and the registration fee of $25 covers the entire school year, including snow days and school days off. There is a registration packet below that can be printed at home or packets can be picked up at the Y.

On snow days, school days off, or breaks during the school year, children registered at any of these locations are eligible to attend child care at the YMCA. The sites at the school will not be open on those days.
